Course Overview
The beginning qualification (Cert I) covered in Term 1 is designed to deliver foundation employment and general computing skills which enable participation in most office environments. It will enable people to function at a basic level which will allow the person to undertake basic ICT functions e.g. Using a PC and to have an understanding of how to engage in online activities. Building on these skills in the second Term it gives the student a fundamental ICT knowledge and skills base which is pivotal for all other qualifications in ICA05 and provides the foundation ICT skills and knowledge for an individual to be an effective ICT user or employee.
