Course Overview
This qualification is offered 12 months full-time or part-time equivalent and is designed to provide the skills and knowledge for a person desiring to obtain positions in industry as Web Designers, Graphic Designers, 2D and 3D Animators, and Sound & Video specialists. This qualification assumes that potential participants have already completed a Certificate IV in Multimedia or equivalent. It also assumes that candidates have skills in the use of software such as Adobe CS2 suite, Macromedia Studio 8 suite, video editing software and 3D Animation software. Students are expected to work in collaboration with colleagues in undertaking real projects with Industry clients. Therefore a great degree of project management, time management, interpersonal, as well as teamwork skills are required.
While the ability to work as part of a team is important, students are equally expected to demonstrate the capacity for autonomous and independent work.
Target Audience
This qualification is designed for students who have completed the Certificate IV in Multimedia (or equivalent). This qualification is also suited to those already employed in the industry and wishing to upgrade their skills.
