This qualification is offered 6 months full-time or part-time equivalent and is designed to provide the skills and knowledge for a person wanting to enter the Multimedia arena. This certificate gives an introduction to the tools and software that people are using for their graphical needs today. Get up to speed with Flash, Photoshop, 2d animation, digital video and more. This is a foundation qualification with an emphasis on learning fundamental principles using a variety of industry level software and hardware. The software taught is current to industry standards and includes:
- Adobe CS2 suite
- Macromedia Studio 8 suite
- Avid Express Pro
- 3D Studio Max

This qualification is designed for School Leavers, students who have are interested in a fun and interactive area and people who want to make the transition to interactive electronic based production. This qualification is also suited to those already employed in the industry and wishing to upgrade their skills as well as to those wanting a career change.
Pathways
Completion of the Certificate II in Multimedia will provide direct pathway into the Certificate III/IV of Multimedia.
